The Catalan, international reference in strategic eco-innovation and executive director of Inèdit, Jordi Oliver, will be in charge of opening CircularFest in Copiapó; his presentation will be called "Scanning the circularity of the territory, a vision from Catalonia" and will lead the presentations of this first Circularity festival in the country and Latin America, to be held at the premises of the University of Atacama on October 5 and 6.

About his participation in this initiative, Jordi Oliver, commented that "I sincerely appreciate the opportunity to participate as a speaker at CircularFest, a leading event in Latin America in the field of circular economy. It is an honor for me to be able to share my perspective on the implementation of circularity in the territories, based on the experience of inèdit in Catalonia, and within a European framework".

The expert pointed out that, from his vision and experience, he will share valuable content based on the European and Catalan experience, which will enable the sustainable development of the regions to be addressed.

"I strongly believe in the transformative power of the circular economy to address the environmental and socioeconomic challenges of our era, and I look forward to inspiring attendees with innovative ideas and practical solutions translatable to Chile. I look forward to interacting with participants and contributing to the dialogue and action around sustainability and circularity at this CircularFest convening in Copiapó."

CircularFest is organized by the Circular Economy Technology Center, CircularTec. The Circularity Initiative will also feature the participation of Miguel Inchaustegui, former Minister of Mining and Mines of Peru, who will speak on the topic "Circular Economy and Shared Value".

"I believe that the Shared Value strategy is an excellent tool to achieve, not only a better relationship between the actors of the mining activity, but it can also help to implement circular economy initiatives in mining operations and in collaborative projects with key stakeholders, with the aim of becoming an actor that promotes sustainability," he said.

He explained that in his presentation he will explain the importance of "Shared Value" and how it can help the circular economy and sustainability in extractive activities.

The event will also feature a presentation by Petar Ostojic, CEO of Neptuno Pumps and founder of the Center for Innovation and Circular Economy, an international benchmark in circular economy, who will talk about circular companies in times of turbulence and uncertainty.

The event has been proposed as a space for dialogue to accelerate the transition to the circular economy, motivating the community, businesses, government and academia to learn about the environmental, economic and social benefits of this model for sustainable development.

It will also be an opportunity for circular entrepreneurs to exhibit their products at the circular fair located on the campus of the Universidad de Atacama and will feature several art and cultural surprises to bring the community closer to the festival of circularity in Chile.
