CircularFest 2023 will be held for the first time in Chile and in five cities in the northern macro-zone, with the presence of prominent national and international exhibitors who are world leaders in the circular economy, educational workshops, talks, fairs and artistic presentations.

The event has been proposed as a space for dialogue to accelerate the transition to a circular economy, motivating the community, companies, government and academia to learn about the environmental, economic and social benefits of this model for sustainable development.

CircularFest will have a total duration of 10 days; the first day will take place on September 28 and 29 in Iquique, with subsequent dates in Arica, Antofagasta, Copiapó and Santiago between September and November 2023.

Andreé Henríquez Aravena, executive director of the Circular Economy Technology Center, CircularTec, organizer of CircularFest, explained that "we have proposed that CircularFest be the most relevant circular economy experience in our country and Latin America, inviting the different territorial actors to join in the challenges of the circular economy. This means companies, government at different levels, as well as universities and the community as a whole. Moving towards sustainable development requires collaboration and, therefore, an instance such as CircularFest is to invite people to imagine a world in which the circular economy is possible".
